Design 2061 - Cervantes IV

This racing yacht was designed to the I.O.R. Rule for Admiral's Cup Racing. She was designed as a racing yacht first and foremost, but would be perfectly practical as a cruising boat. Cervantes was constructed of wood by W. A. Souter & Son of the Isle of Wight. She was launched in 1971.

Here are the plans.

LWL 30'-0"

  1. Became Maverick and raced successfully 1972 to 1976 from Cowes. She was painted a handsome dark blue. Has now reverted to original name and white topsides under French ownership, based in Brttany. She's looking good, and is sometimes in the Solent for classic boat events.
